MCV UK is reporting that Warner Bros. and Eidos have announced that the former has agreed to “irrevocably” support the bid of Final Fantasy publisher Square Enix for wholly acquiring Eidos, Lara Croft’s parent company. Warner Bros. is a 20% stakeholder in the Tomb Raider firm.

The shareholders of Eidos are set to vote on the proposal in March. The British firm has already expressed its pledge to endorse the bid and two shareholders (LGIM and now WB) have so far expressed support for the takeover deal.

Looks like everything’s set for the first Square Enix ‘Raider game. Stay tuned for more updates.
